EBKUST TRAINED 14 DRIVERS FROM THE THREE CAMPUSES.
Staff retention in any organization goes with capacity building and professional training serves as a prerequisite for better service delivery in every sphere of life.
In actualizing this the The Human Resource Manager( Madam Sophie Allieu) of the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) on the 28th May 2019, conducted a (1) one day training for drivers from the three Campuses.
It may interest you to note that, the station manger (SLRSA) stated that this University is the first academic institution to conduct such training for personnel especially DRIVERS
The training was facilitated by:
The (SLRSA) Vehicle Examiner North he deliberated on the topic: Accident and it causes on the road which is the most important aspect of driving rules.
The SLRSA Deputy Route Commander North dealt with the area of Road Traffic Crash and causes responsible.
– Key Road Signs and
– Authority of drivers with regards to their assigned vehicles.
The Senior Assistant Registrar – General Duties Mr. Abudul Karim Kamara during the training spoke on the topic: Accident and Procedures in filling the Accident Form just in case a driver finds him/her self in such situation.
Lastly, The Human Resource Manager Madam Sophia Allieu dealt with Workplace Ethics and – Transportation Guidelines
Before the end of the training an examination was conducted(general paper) to test the intelligence of our drivers; additionally, an eye test was done of each participants.
In an exclusive interview with drivers this training had enlightened them in diligently performing their roles as professionals.
A certificate of participation will be issued to all drivers by the SLRSA co signed with EBKUST.
